Especial 10º aniversario Ascenso Lucentum ACB. Así lo vivieron los protagonistas: Reggie Fox

The playoff against Lleida was very exciting, but before the 5th decisive game in Alicante arrived, there were very equality. How do you remember matches in Lleida? Do you remember that little sports hall?

The playoffs against Lleida were very intense and the teams were very evenly matched. I believe that our coach Andreu did an excellent job of making sure we were prepared and not overconfident.

It was a very "hot" playoff, with players like Joe Bunn or Lucas Victoriano, that "burned" Lucentum's fans in some moments. In spite of that, the team achieved the victory in the 4th match. After losing the second match in Alicante, did you think that you were able to achieve a victory in Lleida to bring the playoff back to Alicante?

Players like Bunn, victoriano and Roger grimau were very good individual players but we believed we had the better team. After losing the game in alicante, we knew it would be tough to win in Lleida, but we were at the top of the league all year so we believed if we could just win and get back to alicante then we would not lose.

In the last game, there were more than 6000 people in the Centro de Tecnificación. How do you remember that atmosphere?

When i got to the arena and was warming up with the 6000 people in the stands, I was so confident that the energy in the building would help carry us to the victory. That was the most electrifying crowd/game of my career in europe.

At half time of the last game the score was 35-44, but in the second half, with your work and with a "great" DAvid Gil (5 3 points-shots) the team achieved the victory. How did you live that overcome?

We were able to overcome halftime because we knew that we were not playing well and we could play better. David gill got hot and the team was unselfish enough to continue to look for him.

Finally, there was a happy end, fans came into the court and you were specially happy (shouting, jumping,...) (as seen in the videos and TV). How do you remember that moments?

That achievment was very special for me because i came to leb at the time when there weren't many acb players willing to go to leb for not so much money. My goal when I came to alicante was to help them get to acb. Our team worked really hard all year and I put in a lot of time in the summer before I came and many extra hours during the season to make sure that we had the best chance to go up to acb.

After that, all the team and the fans celebrate the victory in Luceros fountain... Do you remember any curious anecdote of the celebration?

When the game ended I was so happy because it was the payoff to all of the hard work my teammates and I put in to make it to acb.

How do you remember your time in Alicante?

My time in alicante will always be my most memorable experience of my career in europe. The fans were so special and that was like my second home. I can truly say I have all good memories of the city, the organization and my teammates.

Do you get in touch with any of your partners of that team?

They were great guys who I learned a lot from about the culture and hopefully I taught them a thing or two. I will always appreciate the experience we shared together. Much love to my teammates and the fans of lucentum.
